Chairperson
Angus Lammont
I'm Angus Lamont, I am happily retired. For almost my entire working life I have been involved in housing related activities.
It has been my privilege to serve as Chairperson of Crossroads Lewis. The staff at Crossroads are totally dedicated to providing much needed and valued support for unpaid Carers throughout Lewis. I am proud to play my small part in ensuring sound governance of the organisation.

Vice Chair
Seonag Mackinnon
Hi, I’m Seonag Mackinnon and I worked all my life in Education. We had help from Crossroads Harris for a short while for my father, so I knew of the fantastic work Crossroads did. It is held in such high regard all over the islands. I was delighted to join the Board here at Crossroads Lewis and I have really enjoyed working with the fantastic team here.

Treasurer
Norman Maclean
Hi, I'm Norman Maclean and I work within economic development managing the Business Gateway service.

I enjoy my treasurer role in Crossroads - we have a fantastic and dedicated workforce of care workers, office and management team who do all the hard work.

Member
Rhoda Macdonald
I’m Rhoda, I started my Nursing career in 1975 in Edinburgh until 2014 when I joined Crossroads Lewis as Manager. I retired in 2021 after 7 years in post and I am truly grateful to have been part of Crossroads Lewis.
There was an opportunity to join the Crossroads Board in 2022 and I didn’t have to think too long about this.. I have really enjoyed seeing how this Organisation has grown and continually provides an excellent service for those in need of respite and support in our communities.

Support Worker Representative
Kath Mace
Hi, my name is Kath Mace. I was previously a qualified nurse in the Western Isles Hospital but have since retired. Prior to this I worked in Durham University Hospital.

Throughout my employment, I have understood the demand of Crossroads and was proud to be offered the post of Support Worker representative. This role involves relaying any information from the Board to staff and vice versa. Crossroads will always be a part of my life.

Carer Representative
Anne Morrison
Hi I'm Anne, I worked for over 30 years at the local Post Office counter. I left in 2013 to help look after my mum, who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's & Vascular Dementia the previous year. During her illness, we had weekly respite at home from Crossroads.
When I was asked to join the Board as a Carer Representative, it gave me an insight into the huge amount of work that happens behind the scenes, to make everything run smoothly!

Member
Donna Macleod
Hi, my name is Donna Macleod and way back in the mists of time I left school from Commercial 4 with certificates in Book-keeping, Shorthand and Typing. I started work the following day and for the next 40 years worked in various offices in Stornoway. After I retired from my last employment, I was approached by the then Manager of Crossroads, who asked if I would be interested in joining Crossroads as their Fundraiser. This I accepted and had great fun organising fundraisers of one sort or another (Fashion Shows in Mackay’s, Soup & Puddings and Quizzes etc.). I then worked in the Crossroads office until such time as an Assistant Manager was appointed. After this, when the opportunity came up to serve on the Board, I was delighted to accept.

Secretary
Donna Barden
Hi, my name is Donna, here’s my story!
I became involved with Crossroads as a Secretary, taking Minutes at meetings.
I began my career as a medical secretary. I wanted to use my Gaelic language and I began work for the Gaelic Television Committee. I got married in 1993 and have 2 sons. I completed a degree in Gaelic studies and also teacher training and worked as a Gaelic primary teacher for 15 years. I retired from teaching in 2019 and began working on a part-time basis for e-sgoil in 2020. I’m involved in other charity work. I’m also enjoying being a mother-in-law and granny.
